Boxing for PD Class at Coors Core Fitness

Coors Core Fitnespar 7-2s has launched a boxing class specifically designed for Parkinson’s Disease patients. The class is open to participants who take part in CCF’s PD Elite exercise program and is taught by professional boxer and owner of The Punch House, Danny Calhoun.

“Boxing is highly effective at helping Parkinson’s patients develop better coordination and strength, as well as self confidence. Our class offers them the unique, invaluable opportunity to work with a professional boxer with more than 10 years experience as an instructor,” said Lisa Coors.

Lisa started teaching PD exercise classes in 2004 with four students. Today, she instructs 95 PD students every week at locations including at her Anderson-based studio, Blue Ash and Glendale. “Although April is Parkinson’s Disease Awareness month we are working everyday to empower those with Parkinson’s and to deepen the community’s understanding of this disease.”

INFORMATION: Coors Core Fitness Parkinson’s Disease boxing class is from 12:15-1:15 p.m. as part of the PD Elite class in Anderson. It is conducted every third Thursday of each month.
